Directions to Banff Gondola
The Banff Gondola is located at the base of Sulphur Mountain at the end of Mountain Avenue in Banff, Alberta in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The town of Banff is a short 1.5 hour drive west on the Trans-Canada Highway from Calgary and about a 3.5 hour drive south on the scenic Icefields Parkway from Jasper. The nearest International Airport is located in Calgary, Alberta. Once you have arrived into the townsite, the Banff Gondola is a short 2.5 kilometre (1.5 miles) drive from downtown. Located beside the Upper Hot Springs - a short 5 minute drive from downtown. If you require just transportation, contact Roam Transit for transit information to Sulphur Mountain. Provided year-round, please call (403) 762-0606 for info. Taxis are also available at any time of the year.

No car? No worries!

From June 19 - September 7th, guests with pre-purchased tickets to the Banff Gondola or Banff Upper Hot Springs can board the complimentary Banff Gondola shuttle from downtown Banff (224 Banff Ave) to Sulphur Mountain and a return shuttle from Sulphur Mountain to Banff Ave. Shuttles depart every half hour between 9:00am and 6:00pm.
