The Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk, Sanson's Peak and all other aspects of the outdoor Banff Gondola experience remain unaffected by these renovations. All visitors will still experience breathtaking mountain views and can capture that signature Banff National Park photo.

Directions to Banff Gondola
The Banff Gondola is located at the base of Sulphur Mountain at the end of Mountain Avenue in Banff, Alberta in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The town of Banff is a short 1.5 hour drive west on the Trans-Canada Highway from Calgary and about a 3.5 hour drive south on the scenic Icefields Parkway from Jasper. The nearest International Airport is located in Calgary, Alberta. Once you have arrived into the town-site, the Banff Gondola is a short 2.5 kilometre (1.5 miles) drive from downtown. Located beside the Upper Hot Springs - a short 5 minute drive from downtown. 
During our ongoing construction (until August), parking at the Banff Gondola will be very limited.  Please take advantage of our complimentary shuttle service from/to downtown to make your visit effortless. 
Complimentary Shuttle: Until Sept 5 shuttles operates daily, departing the Banff International Hotel and Evelyn's Coffee Bar every 15 minutes between 10am to 6pm. Last shuttle departs the gondola at 6:15pm
ROAM Transit provides local transit year-round from Banff to Sulphur Mountain. Contact them for information on (403) 762-0606. Taxis are also available at any time of the year.

No car? No worries!
