Tips & Tricks

Please select the time you want to arrive at the attraction at least a day before you head out! By committing to a time, you'll avoid line-ups and be guaranteed to start right when you are ready to do so. That means you can head straight for adventure!
Due to their popularity, Banff and Jasper national parks can be very busy in the summer. The best time to visit the attractions is before 11am or after 3pm. Mornings and early evenings are also the best times for wildlife sightings.
Take your time
You won’t be required to visit all of the attractions in one day – Combo Package tickets can be used any day during the summer season.
Enjoy the Drive
The Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre is a 2.5-hour drive from the Banff townsite along the Icefields Parkway. Make sure to leave yourself enough time to take in all the breathtaking stops along the way.
Weather in the mountains can be highly variable. We recommend dressing in layers, bringing a hat to shield yourself from sun, wearing sunscreen and having a rain jacket handy in case the weather changes.
Skip the Trail Mix
All of our attractions feature great food and beverage options ranging from a café, to grab and go, to fine dining, so you can save your appetite for the good stuff.
Plan Ahead
Please check each attraction's operating dates and hours in advance, more information about each can be found on individual attraction pages.
