Spectacular glacier views wrap the restaurant and provide the perfect backdrop to the Canadian inspired and locally-sourced menu developed by Executive Chef Martin Brenner. Altitude offers convenient buffet-style cuisine during lunch, and incredible a la carte options for breakfast and dinner. 
For breakfast, start the day off right with healthy options like our green smoothie or altitude parfait, or indulge in traditional breakfast comforts like banana bread French toast or eggs benedict.
Evenings at the Columbia Icefield are quiet, peaceful and spectacular. Pair this experience with our incredible dinner menu featuring items like roasted beet and chevre flatbread, charcuterie, smoked salmon carpaccio, beef tenderloin, lamb rack and west coast salmon.

Chalet celebrates the heritage of the original red-roofed Columbia Icefield Chalet, and the stories of the explorers that have enjoyed this destination over the years. The exceptional menu of freshly prepared hot items and casual self-serve concept provides the perfect location to refuel for your next mountain adventure.

Columbia Icefield Curio Shop
The Columbia Icefield Curio Shop is located on the first floor of the Glacier Discovery Centre opposite the Parks Canada Information Desk. Open from 9AM to 6PM, the Curio Shop offers souvenirs, clothing and postcards; something to suit every tourist.
Parks Canada Information Desk
In a unique partnership, Parks Canada provides information to visitors on local campgrounds, weather and things to do in the area. They can also issue park passes, backcountry passes and is a checkpoint for climbers ascending Mount Athabasca. The Parks Canada desk is located on the main level of the Glacier Discovery Centre across from the Curio Shop.
