Last night Banff received a nice blanket of new snow so get your skis out as the Canadian Rockies are open for business!  With only a few runs open Mount Norquay is open weekends till Dec. 4th, Lake Louise opened last week, and Sunshine opens tomorrow with the rest of the Canadian Rockies soon to follow!  Check out the snow on the Banff Webcam. 

The day has finally come in Banff National Park, winter has arrived!  The snow is falling, hockey season is getting under way, Banff ski resorts are opening, and rutting season has begun.  Check out the photos below taken recently from our head office windows in Banff, the quality is not great but you can see just how massive these animals really are.   Although they look tame, they are not to be taken lightly as they are wild animals.  Elks are very aggressive at this time of year as mating season is just around the corner, so please be careful.
