Itinerary

DAY 1 – Calgary to Banff

Today, enjoy a comfortable journey from Calgary to Banff. Travel through prairies and foothills into Canada's first and most famous National Park. Spend your day exploring the mountain resort town of Banff. Many walking and hiking trails are available from the town centre, and provide a great opportunity for wildlife sightings and capturing photographs of the Rockies.

DAY 2 – Discovering Banff

Enjoy a morning tour of Banff's landmark sights. Visit the beautiful setting of Bow Falls, and look up at the famous Banff Springs Hotel, known as Castle of the Rockies. Learn about the Hoodoo rock formations shaped by centuries of wind and rain. Continue with a ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain at the Banff Gondola. Traverse from Sulphur to Sanson Peak on the mountain-top boardwalk for views of snowy peaks from every direction. Conclude with a scenic cruise and wide-open views from Lake Minnewanka.

DAY 3 – Banff to Lake Louise

Join a guided excursion through the landmark sights of Lake Louise and Yoho National Park. Visit Moraine Lake and learn about the fascinating engineering feat of the Spiral Tunnels. Ascend Kicking Horse Pass and descend into the scenic Yoho Valley. Look way up at Takakkaw Falls, and visit the peaceful setting of Emerald Lake. Arrive in the wilderness setting of Lake Louise, and enjoy an evening in this spectacular wilderness setting.

DAY 4 – Lake Louise to Jasper

Board a luxury motor coach for a scenic tour along the Icefield Parkway. This fascinating route is home to over one hundred visible glaciers, turquoise lakes and rushing waterfalls. At the Columbia Icefields, ride an all-terrain Ice Explorer onto the icy slopes of Athabasca Glacier. After a stop at the award-winning Glacier Skywalk, continue towards Jasper. Stop to photograph the scenic wonder of Athabasca Falls. Enjoy a leisurely evening in downtown Jasper.

DAY 5 – Jasper

Visit the landmark sights of Jasper National Park with a morning tour. Look down into Maligne Canyon with its narrow gorge and limestone walls created by 10,000 years of water flow. Learn about a place of mystery and First Nations legend as you continue to Medicine Lake. Look out over the vast waters of Maligne Lake, and enjoy sweeping views of the Athabasca River Valley. Enjoy wildlife sightings as you return to Jasper for an afternoon at leisure.

DAY 6 - Jasper to Vancouver

Following a free morning in Jasper, board a VIA Rail train for an epic overnight rail journey through the dynamic landscapes of British Columbia. Look up at the towering pinnacle of Mount Robson, and travel through the enchanting Monashee and Cariboo mountain ranges. After a delicious meal in the dining car, drift off in a sleeping car as the train makes its way to Vancouver.

DAY 7 – Vancouver Arrival

Following a morning arrival at Pacific Central Station, spend your day exploring the metropolitan city of Vancouver. Visit a 1,000 acre urban rainforest at Stanley Park, and browse through the artisan food and crafts of Granville Island. Wrap up your day with a flight simulation over Canada's transitioning landscapes from coast to coast at FlyOver Canada. 

DAY 8 – Vancouver Departure

A morning check out from your hotel concludes this memorable holiday.
