Guided Fishing Trips at Maligne Lake

Maligne Lake boasts the best guided fishing experience that Jasper National Park has to offer. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and eastern brook trout and the fishing is abundant and challenging. 
 
Maligne Lake guided fishing tours include transportation to and from all Jasper hotels and all necessary equipment for a day of fishing with a professional, licensed guide.
 
All boats are fully equipped with everything you’ll need; including rods, reels, tackle, and modern fish tracking equipment to help locate the fish. Mountain Park fishing licenses are available at the historic Curly Phillips boat house.
 
Two fishing trips are available:
  • Full Day Guided Fishing (7 hrs. minimum) Includes lunch
  • Half Day Guided Fishing (4 hrs. minimum)
All of our guided fishing trips are only bookable at the Maligne Lake boathouse or by phoning: 780-852-3370. Reservations and a deposit may be required.

Dock Arrival
Maligne Lake Cruise & Fishing Charters are located in the boathouse at Malgine Lake. We are located 48 km (30 miles) from the town of Jasper, about a 1 hour drive. Please plan to be at the boathouse 15 minutes prior to your charter fishing departure time.

Half-Day Charter Fishing $350.00 per person single
  $200.00 per person (2 or more)
Full-Day Charter Fishing $425.00 per person single
  $250.00 per person (2 or more)

  • Children must be accompanied by full paying adult; No children under 5.
  • Rates are subject to GST and are quoted in Canadian funds. VISA, MasterCard, American Express accepted with reservations, Direct Debit at time of purchase.
  • Reservations are required to guarantee fishing charters.
  • Fishing Permits must be purchased before charter fishing trip.

  • Lunch is included in full-day fishing, with water included in half-day fishing
  • 48 hours notice is required for cancellations to avoid cancellation charges.

Directions to Maligne Lake
From the east end of the town site of Jasper, follow highway 16 east for 3 km to the bridge across the Athabasca river to the right, take the left fork from the end of the bridge and follow the Maligne Road 48 km to Maligne Lake.  Follow the parking signs to three free parking areas and then the walkway through the forest to Maligne Lake, ticket office, boathouse and Chalet
