Guided Fishing Trips at Maligne Lake

Maligne Lake boasts the best guided fishing experience that Jasper National Park has to offer. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and eastern brook trout and the fishing is abundant and challenging. 
 
Maligne Lake guided fishing tours include transportation to and from all Jasper hotels and all necessary equipment for a day of fishing with a professional, licensed guide.
 
All boats are fully equipped with everything you’ll need; including rods, reels, tackle, and modern fish tracking equipment to help locate the fish. Mountain Park fishing licenses are available at the historic Curly Phillips boat house.

Maligne Lake Cruise & Fishing Charters are located in the boathouse at Malgine Lake. We are located 48 km (30 miles) from the town of Jasper, about a 1 hour drive. Please plan to be at the boathouse 15 minutes prior to your charter fishing departure time.

Directions to Maligne Lake
From the east end of the town site of Jasper, follow highway 16 east for 3 km and take the turnoff for Maligne Lake Road to the right, proceed over the iron bridge across the Athabasca river, stay left at the fork in the road and then proceed for 48 km until you arrive at Maligne Lake. Watch for “animal jam” slowdowns. When you reach the Maligne Lake area the first public parking lot is to the left. After parking, follow the short trail through a grove of trees to Maligne Lake, the ticket office, boathouse, Day Lodge, and the Historic Chalet.
