Take the scenic route from the spectacular Canadian Rockies to Vancouver, through landscapes shaped by glaciers, water and wind, on this two-day sightseeing adventure offering the best views in Western Canada and a peaceful overnight stay in the alpine village of Sun Peaks.

Depart the resort town of Jasper, and pass through the dramatic mountain corridors of Jasper National Park. Gaze upon Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Continue through the rugged Monashee and Caribou mountain ranges. Travel along the scenic Thompson River valley before climbing up through the Shuswap Highlands to the alpine resort of Sun Peaks. Surrounded by forested mountains, this charming village offers beautiful scenery and a variety of walking trails. Wildlife is commonly sighted in and around the village.

Continue your journey west toward the Pacific Coast with a stop at Hell’s Gate Gorge. Ride an air tram over this spectacular canyon, where 200 million gallons of water per minute thunder through a 33-metre-wide passage. Dramatic rocky landscapes give way to the scenic rolling hills and ranchlands of interior British Columbia. Follow the Gold Rush trail through eclectic towns established during the Caribou Gold Rush of the 1850s. Arrive in the modern metropolis of Vancouver, set on the shores of the Pacific Ocean and backed by the Coast Mountain range. Shopping, dining, sightseeing, modern architecture, and a thriving arts and cultural scene await you here.

Day 1 - Jasper to Sun Peaks
Depart Jasper and travel through mountain corridors surrounded by glacier-covered peaks and glistening lakes. Glimpse views of towering Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Travel through Valemount, a haven for explorers, hikers, and skiers. View the beautiful landscapes of the Monashee and Caribou ranges, stopping in the resort town of Blue River for lunch. This outdoor haven is home to spectacular mountain views and a host of wildlife including deer, moose, bear, caribou and eagles. Continue west through the town of Clearwater, situated amongst forested mountain peaks and pristine lakes and rivers. Follow the Thompson River Valley south, surrounded by pastoral farmland and ranches. Ascend through the Shuswap Highlands into the alpine village of Sun Peaks. Enjoy an evening stroll and keep your eye out for wildlife photo opportunities. Sun Peaks residents share this beautiful mountain village with many furry friends.

Day 2 – Sun Peaks to Vancouver
Continue your journey toward Vancouver, passing from forested mountains to the dramatic desert scenery of British Columbia’s cowboy country. Follow the Thompson River Valley through Spences Bridge, a small town established during the Cariboo Gold rush of the 1850s. Continue south toward Hell’s Gate and the spectacular Fraser Canyon. Lunch and a tram ride at Hell’s Gate offer a chance to witness the power of water as it churns and pushes through the narrow Hell’s Gate gorge. Following lunch, wind along the mighty Fraser River through lush, pastoral valleys, passing into the urban centres of Abbotsford, Langley, and Surrey. Conclude in the coastal city of Vancouver, surrounded by spectacular ocean views and the impressive peaks of the Coast Mountains. Your tour concludes upon arrival in Vancouver.
