Jan 04, 2017
The Holiday season has come and gone and it's now time to start celebrating winter. Can you think of a more magical winter wonderland than the Rockies? Neither can we! If you are looking for somewhere to stay, check out our deals and packages page to make the most of your visit.

Ice Magic Festival | Lake Louise | Jan 19 – 29, 2017
What could be more magical than viewing spectacular scenes, sculptures and structures made from carved ice in one of the most beautiful winter landscapes? Banff Lake Louise Tourism hosts the Ice Magic Festival in Lake Louise from Jan 19 – Jan 29, 2017. Here, you will be able to witness skilled ice carving artists creating their masterpieces, maybe even try your hand at some ice carving, or simply view the finished pieces once the competition is complete.
Banff’s Big Taste | Banff | Jan 18 – 22, 2017
Experience the flavours of Banff during Banff's Big Taste this January. Maybe you will choose to experience the whole five days or perhaps just one of the many delicious events. Our very own Sky Bistro Chef has designed a special dish which will be presented at the Grand Tasting Hall along with a variety of tastes from around the town of Banff.
Jasper In January | Jasper | Jan 12 – 29, 2017
A three-week celebration including discounted outdoor activities, competitions, musical entertainment and adventures in Jasper National Park. On Saturdays during Jasper in January there will be “demo days” where you can try out top-of-the-range ski equipment at Marmot Basin. For those wanting to stay indoors, perhaps a Brewery Tour might be more to your taste. Other options include learning to snowshoe, discovering the art of starting a fire or an introduction to wildlife photography. Finally, relax in the evenings with live music from a variety of bands, enjoy a chilli cook-off or a culinary crawl.
Snowdays | Banff & Lake Louise | Jan 13 – Feb 5, 2017

Snowdays is all about celebrating winter in the Rockies, starting with a kick-off street party on January 13. Two of the events mentioned above, Ice Magic and Banff’s Big Taste are both part of this three-week celebration. The festival includes many events, entertainment and activities including live music and even skiers and snowboarders showcasing their skills at the Banff Train Station during The Big Bear event.
