Vacation to Canada: A Superb Journey

Jun 12, 2012
"On May 16th, my wife and I were collected by a Brewster coach to take us from Chateau Lake Louise to Jasper where we would be joining the Rocky Mountaineer. We both expected nothing more than a long coach journey with a trip on a Glacier included.

On arrival your coach contained no fewer than 18 Brazilians as passengers, all of which spoke little if any English and a driver who only spoke French as an alternative. His name was Dave Americi.

Well, what a journey! Dave did his best not only to entertain us in English (of course) but try to get some feel of Canada over to 18 people who really didn’t understand him too well. He stopped for scenes of waterfalls, lakes and of course wildlife which included his first sighting of 2 Grizzlies together and a Black bear with cub. He was superb, to the point that the Brazilians gave him a token Brazilian key ring. His sense of humour and outlook toward all was first rate. His attempts to describe everything and ensure everyone stayed together was superb.

My wife and I both work in the service industry and we would be more than happy to employ him, but who could give him a more satisfying job. That said, if you have an employee recognition plan then please ensure he is awarded something as he made our holiday. I attach some photos of the bears which he may wish to have reproduced for his own memory of that trip.

Once again thank you for a superb journey."
