Gardens, Grapes and Glaciers

Today we look at Brewster Vacations Canada’s most popular independent motor coach vacation: the Gardens Grapes & Glaciers tour linking Calgary and the Canadian Rockies with Vancouver.

Sampling the highlights of Western Canada, this affordable 2 day/1 night experience on board our deluxe motor coach will whisk you through British Columbia’s festive showcase gardens, charming wine regions and majestic mountain ranges.

Building on our past successes, we have created vacations around this tour which include: expert commentary from our Brewster Driver Guides, a local wine tasting tour experience and an overnight stop in the heart of the Okanagan valley, Kelowna. Famed for its’ vineyards, Kelowna glistens in the summer with beaches decorating the shore of the region’s largest body of water, Lake Okanagan.

‘Dazzle your senses’ with a tour of the vibrant and colourful Minter Gardens, a 32 acre display garden nestled in the picturesque Fraser Valley. You will enjoy free time to explore the world class and kaleidoscopic nature of the garden’s 12 individual themed sections including the blossoming peacock and the rustic waterwheel.

Experience the life of a wine connoisseur as you sample hand-crafted red, white and ice wines at the highly regarded Little Straw Vineyards, a family-owned winery founded in 1996.

During your journey you will travel along one of the world’s longest highways, the Trans-Canada Highway, an 8000km/5000mi stretch of road that links Canada’s east to west coasts, where the Pacific meets the Atlantic Oceans. Think Seattle to Miami? No. Chicago to London in Great Britain will get you closer to the scope of the distance of this incredible road.

Before the idea of a Trans-Canada Highway was even conceived, Canadian Pacific Railway had succeeded in its ambition to link and unify the country East to West by rail in 1885. You will witness towering mountain peaks that pierce the sky, cascading waterfalls that dot the landscapes of Canada’s Glacier National Park and the Monashee Mountain Range before entering world famous Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Your journey will close with a visit to aqua-blue Lake Louise and then into the famous resort town of Banff before ending in Calgary home of the greatest outdoor show on Earth, the Calgary Stampede.
