Ice Climbing in the Canadian Rockies

Jan 12, 2011
Looking for something totally different to do this spring? Why not try climbing up a frozen waterfall or along icefalls, cliffs and rock slabs covered with ice refrozen from flows of water. Ice climbing in the Canadian Rockies is a must do activity. The certified guides will show you the basics of ice axe and crampon use while you learn to ice climb.

Recently some members of our team got to take part on an ice climb with Yamnuska Mountain Adventures. "We went up with four very qualified guides and had an amazing time. They set up four different routes that we could try, some were easy and there were some for the more advanced people with climbing experience. The guides talked us through everything we needed to know and helped us get through it by giving us some great encouragement. Everyone had an awesome day climbing and achieved something some of us never dreamed of doing. Thanks Yamnuska!"

Join us on this incredible Banff winter sightseeing tour which is guaranteed to be the highlight of your mountain adventure.
