Join the community in celebrating Canada's 146th birthday with the magnificent Canadian Rockies as your backdrop! This weekend offers up a fun array of festivities around the Town of Banff and Lake Louise for families to take part in.
The Banff ‘hearts’ Canmore fundraising event will take place on Sunday June 30th at the Banff Gondola
. Brewster Travel Canada, in partnership with Discover Banff Tours, the Rimrock Resort Hotel and several local businesses, will be hosting this flood relief benefit to support those affected by the recent flooding. The event will take place on Sunday June 30th from 4 PM - 7 PM featuring a silent auction, musical entertainment, refreshments and exciting activities. Bow Valley residents can also enjoy a ride on the Banff Gondola by donation. Proceeds raised will be donated to the Canmore Rotary Club Flood Relief Fund.
On Monday July 1st, you can kick-start your celebrations with a delicious pancake breakfast presented by Melissa’s & Banff Park Lodge and enjoy family-fun festivities in Central Park throughout the day. Patrons can take pleasure in Canadian food and live music and entertainment before watching the famous Canada Day Parade down Banff Ave and a pyrotechnic display of fireworks to end off the night in Central Park. The traditional Polar Bear Dip, family canoe races and community barbecue are among the several popular festivities taking place in Lake Louise for all-ages.
Visitors to the national park on Canada Day can enjoy free entry.
