Day 1 – Toronto Arrival
Enjoy a day exploring the metropolitan city of Toronto. The downtown core offers a variety of interesting cultural venues and districts to explore, from the Distillery District to Little Italy to the quirky Kensington Market neighborhood. Toronto is one of the most culturally rich locations in Canada, boasting a great diversity of cuisine, art, and entertainment.
Day 2 – Niagara Falls Day Trip
Spend a day exploring the Niagara Falls region. Travel through the orchards of the Niagara Peninsula to the city of Niagara Falls. One of the wonders of the world, Niagara Falls is a large, horseshoe-shaped falls with the highest flow rate in the world. Enjoy a lunch buffet overlooking the falls, and a trip along the scenic River Road. Take a Hornblower Cruise to the centre of the action, and stand at the base of the falls. Travel through Niagara-on-the-Lake during the return trip to Toronto.
Day 3 – VIA Rail to Jasper
Board a VIA Rail overnight train at Union Station, and begin your journey west towards Jasper. Enjoy the many onboard amenities VIA Touring Class has to offer, including delicious meals, comfortable overnight accommodations, and large picture windows for taking in the scenery. Overnight aboard the train in a sleeping car.
Day 4 & 5 – VIA Rail to Jasper

Day 6 – Jasper Arrival
Following an afternoon arrival at the train station, spend an evening exploring the eclectic mountain town of Jasper. This town is situated in the heart of Jasper National Park, surrounded by towering peaks, and home to many species of native wildlife.
Day 7 – Jasper
Get acquainted with Jasper’s scenic wonders and historic tales during a morning sightseeing tour. Look out over the mighty Athabasca River, and learn about the early explorers and mountaineers who passed through the area now known as Jasper National Park. Gaze down into the limestone walls of Maligne Canyon, and learn about the mysterious disappearing Medicine Lake. Photograph the vast waters of Maligne Lake, one of the largest lakes in the Canadian Rockies.
Day 8 – Jasper to Lake Louise
An epic day of sights and photo opportunities begins with the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Travel through mountain corridors surrounded by rocky peaks, sparkling streams, and hanging glaciers. Step out onto the Athabasca Glacier and enjoy an interpretive journey in an all-terrain Ice Explorer. Gaze out over the Sunwapta Valley from a glass platform suspended high above the valley floor at the Glacier Skywalk. Continue along the Icefields Parkway with a photo stop at Peyto Lake. Arrive in the alpine village of Lake Louise, and enjoy an evening of relaxation.
Day 9 – Lake Louise to Banff
Explore the wonders of Lake Louise and Yoho National Park during this full-day sightseeing tour. Photograph the emerald waters of Lake Louise, backed by Mount Victoria and the Victoria Glacier. Stand in awe of Takakkaw Falls, one of Canada’s highest waterfalls. Enjoy the serene setting of Moraine Lake and Emerald Lake. Cross over the continental divide at Kicking Horse Pass, and behold the beauty of Yoho Valley. Continue along the Bow Valley Corridor to the mountain resort of Banff.
Day 10 – Banff
Spend the morning visiting Banff’s local points of interest. Visit scenic highlights including Bow Falls, Two Jack Lake, and Surprise Corner. Learn the historical significance of the Hoodoo rock formations overlooking the Bow Valley. At Banff Gondola, ascend to the summit of Sulphur Mountain for a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding peaks and the Banff townsite far below. Stand on the shores of Lake Minnewanka and look out over the vast waters surrounded by impressive mountain peaks. Spend a leisurely night in Banff.
Day 11 – Banff to Kamloops
All aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train for the sightseeing journey of a lifetime. Look up at the towering peak of Mount Temple. Pass through a famous rail engineering feat, the Spiral Tunnels, and travel along the Kicking Horse River. Travel through the rugged wilderness of Rogers Pass into the rolling hills and lakes of the Okanagan region. Disembark from the train for a relaxing evening in Kamloops.
Day 12 – Kamloops to Vancouver
Enjoy a second day aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train enroute to the Pacific Coast. View the dynamic landscapes of British Columbia as the train traverses through desert hills, ranchlands, lush river valleys, and mountains. Arrive in downtown Vancouver at Pacific Central Station and enjoy an evening exploring the city. A visit to FlyOver Canada provides a great introduction to Canada’s diverse geography and scenic wonders from coast to coast.
Day 13 – Vancouver Departure
