DAY 1 – Arriving in Toronto

Upon arrival at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport, make your way independently to your dowtown Toronto hotel. Spend the remainder of the day exploring Canada’s largest city. Walk amongst the soaring glass and concrete towers, venture into the parks and gardens and take a stroll along the lakefront boardwalks. Visit one of the many great museums and galleries or indulge in some shopping at in the many boutiques in the city. Relax and enjoy an overnight stay at your Toronto hotel.

DAY 2 –  Toronto to Ottawa

Explore the urban metropolis of Toronto with a fully-narrated Hop On/Hop Off trolley tour. Some highlights include: CN Tower, the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere; the Gothic Revival design of Casa Loma, the city's majestic castle; a stroll down Toronto Harbourfront; and shopping at the bustling Eaton Centre and boutiques in the Yorkville district. During the evening, travel independently to Union Station where you will begin your scenic rail journey to Ottawa on board the VIA Rail Business Class train (includes dinner). Upon your arrival at the Ottawa train station, make your way independently by taxi to your downtown hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 3 – Exploring Ottawa

Today is free for you to discover the winter wonders of Ottawa at your leisure. Wander through an impressive assortment of artifacts and displays at the Canadian Museum of History. Continue to the Canadian Museum of Nature to browse through interesting displays containing animals, fossils, minerals, and plants. Strap on some skates and glide down the famed Rideau Canal, the largest natural ice rink in the world. Admire the wealth of historic landmarks insluding a visit to the Federal Parliament Buildings for a complimentary guided tour. The capital city of Canada is the perfect backdrop for your outdoor recreation and world-class exhibitions. 

DAY 4 –  Ottawa to Montreal

This morning, check-out from your hotel and travel independently by taxi to the Ottawa train station. Travel eastward to the province of Quebec on board a commuter train complete with a meal (included) on board and sights of the scenic countryside. Upon your arrival at the train station in Montreal, make your way independently to your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 5 –  Exploring Montreal

This morning, join a tour of the city and explore the highlights of this chic French city. Highlights include: wandering the snow-covered cobblestone streets of Old Montréal; a visit to the impressive Notre-Dame Basilica; a wander through Olympic Park; stretching views from Mount Royal Lookout; McGill University, Montréal Harbour, St. Joseph’s Oratory, City Hall, and Place Des Arts. The remainder of your afternoon and evening are free to discover Montreal.

DAY 6 –  Montreal to Quebec City

Enjoy a morning at leisure, then travel independently to the Montréal train station to continue your rail journey to Québec City. Enjoy an on board meal (included) as the train winds through beautiful pastoral landscapes and snow-covered houses. Arrive in picturesque Québec City and make your way independently to your hotel. 

DAY 7 - Exploring Quebec City

Learn about the fascinating city of Québec with a morning tour visiting the Plains of Abraham, the Ramparts, the Latin Quarter, the National Assembly, Palace Royale, and City Hall. Enjoy an afternoon at the Musée de la Civilization, with an impressive array of exhibits across many global civilizations. The cobblestone streets, towering church spires, museums and more are begging to be explored for the remainder of your day before relaxing overnight in your hotel.

DAY 8 - Departing Quebec City

Your memorable winter tour concludes with a morning check-out from your Quebec City hotel.

All prices are quoted per person in CAD funds. A deposit of $200 per person is due at the time of booking (unless otherwise specified). Final payment is due at 70 days prior to tour departure. Tours booked within 65 days require full payment before reservations can be confirmed. Infants (less than 2 years old) travelling with an adult (and not occupying a seat) travel free of charge on most services.
