Columbia Icefield Restaurant
The Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre offers two dining possibilities for guests, a cafeteria and a dining room. Both are located on the second floor of the Glacier Discovery Centre. The cafeteria is open daily running the same hours as the Glacier Adventure and Glacier Skywalk tours, and offers a wide range of food options, from salads to hamburgers. The dining room is open for breakfast and dinner for guests, and then again as a buffet lunch for tour groups. David and Steve Hong manage the food services, which are privately owned by Mr. and Mrs. Alan Chu, through their company, Columbia Icefield Food Services. The Chu family has operated food services at the Columbia Icefield for over 25 years.
Columbia Icefield Curio Shop
The Columbia Icefield Curio Shop is located on the first floor of the Glacier Discovery Centre opposite the Parks Canada Information Desk. Open from 9 am to 6pm, the Curio Shop offers souvenirs, clothing and postcards; something to suit every tourist. Peter Wright and Associates in Vancouver, BC have operated the Columbia Icefield Curio Shop for over 25 years.

Explore Rockies Activity Centre provides visitors with activity planning, local information, personalized advice and recommendations on sightseeing and activities
in Banff and Jasper National Park.The Explore Rockies Experts are entirely dedicated to assisting visitors with all aspects of their vacation plans and ensuring they go home with an authentic Canadian Rockies experience. The Explore Rockies desk is located on the main level of the Glacier Discovery Centre.
In a unique partnership, Parks Canada provides information to visitors on local campgrounds, weather and things to do in the area. They can also issue park passes, backcountry passes and is a checkpoint for climbers ascending Mount Athabasca. The Parks Canada desk is located on the main level of the Glacier Discovery Centre across from the Curio Shop.

Come and witness incredible displays and visually exciting exhibits about the Columbia Icefield area and its impact on the regional environment. This self-guided tour takes you back in time to discover how a glacier moves, the importance of icefields in climate research, plus information about the area and local wildlife.
