DAY 1 – Vancouver Arrival

Welcome to the metropolitan city of Vancouver! Enjoy a day exploring this urban oasis, with much to see and discover including Stanley Park, historic Gastown, English Bay, and the unique shops and artisan food markets of Granville Island. Get acquainted with the Canada’s scenic highlights during a coast to coast flight simulation at FlyOver Canada. Your evening is at leisure to explore downtown Vancouver or relax by the waterfront.

DAY 2 – Vancouver to Sun Peaks

Depart the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver and travel east as city-scapes transition to pastoral farmland and lush valleys as the highway follows the Fraser River. Continue north towards Hell’s Gate and the spectacular Fraser Canyon. Lunch and a tram ride at Hell’s Gate offers a chance to witness the power of water as it churns and pushes through the narrow Hell’s Gate gorge. Pass through Spence’s Bridge, a small town established during the Cariboo Gold Rush of the 1850’s. Wind along the Thompson River through the dramatic desert scenery of British Columbia’s cowboy country. The road climbs steadily up from Kamloops through the Shuswap Highlands into the mountain region of Sun Peaks. Enjoy an evening stroll through this scenic alpine village, and keep your eye out for wildlife photo opportunities. 

DAY 3 – Sun Peaks to Jasper

Depart Sun Peaks and travel north along the scenic Thompson River Valley, surrounded by pastoral farmland and ranches. Continue east through the town of Clearwater, situated amongst forested mountain peaks, and pristine lakes and rivers. Pass through the beautiful mountain corridors of the Monashee and Caribou ranges, stopping in the resort town of Blue River for lunch. This outdoor haven is home to spectacular mountain views, and a host of wildlife including deer, moose, bear, caribou and eagles. Travel through the village of Valemount, a haven for explorers, hikers, and skiers. Glimpse views of towering Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies range. Continue past glacier covered peaks and sparkling river valleys into Jasper National Park. 

DAY 4 – Jasper to Banff

Join a full day tour south along the famous Icefields Parkway to Banff. Travel through mountain corridors surrounded by rugged peaks, sparkling glaciers, and aquamarine lakes. Pass by scenic landmarks including Crowfoot Glacier, Peyto Lake, Bow Lake, and Athabasca Falls. Take an all-terrain Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier, and step out high above the Sunwapta Valley at the Glacier Skywalk. Continue along the Bow Valley Corridor to Banff for an evening at leisure.

DAY 5 – Lake Louise Touring

Enjoy a full day tour through the natural wonders of Lake Louise and Yoho National Park. Begin with a walk along the sheer limestone walls, pools, and waterfalls of Johnston Canyon. Stand on the shores of picture-perfect Lake Louise, and photograph the crystal blue waters of Moraine Lake. Continue over the Continental Divide into Yoho National Park, and look way up at the powerful flow of water plunging 384 metres at Takakkaw Falls. Enjoy the quiet serenity of Emerald Lake before returning to for an free evening in downtown Banff.

DAY 6 – Banff to Calgary

Get acquainted with Banff’s history and sights during a morning tour through Banff National Park. Learn the significance of the Hoodoo rock formations, and visit the popular Bow Falls. Photograph the Bow River and Banff Springs Hotel from Surprise Lookout. Gaze out over the vast waters of Lake Minnewanka, and take a gondola to the peak of Sulphur Mountain for epic views of the Bow Valley and Banff townsite far below. Continue to Calgary Airport, where your memorable holiday concludes upon arrival.
