DAY 1 – Vancouver Arrival
Arrive in the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver and spend the remainder of your day exploring the downtown sights and ocean-side trails. Don't miss the urban rainforest of Stanley Park and the artisan food and crafts of Granville Island Market. Enjoy a flight simulation at FlyOver Canada to gain an overview of the diverse scenery from Canada's Pacific to Atlantic Coast.
DAY 2 – Vancouver to Sun Peaks
Depart the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver and travel east, through the urban centres of Surrey, Langley, and Abbotsford. City-scapes transition to pastoral farmland and lush valleys as the highway follows the Fraser River. Continue north towards Hell’s Gate and the spectacular Fraser Canyon. Lunch and a tram ride at Hell’s Gate offer a chance to witness the power of water as it churns and pushes through the narrow Hell’s Gate gorge. Pass through Spence’s Bridge, a small town established during the Cariboo Gold Rush of the 1850’s. Wind along the Thompson River through the dramatic desert scenery of British Columbia’s cowboy country. The road climbs steadily up from Kamloops through the Shuswap Highlands into the mountain region of Sun Peaks. Enjoy an evening at leisure in the quaint mountain village of Sun Peaks. DAY 3 – Sun Peaks to Banff
Continue your journey west, passing through grassy rolling hills and ranchlands to Okanagan Lake Country. The landscape transitions into forested hills, orchards, and expansive lakes, winding through a series of scenic valleys. Witness the landscape change from wide open skies to towering rugged peaks as you ascend into the Rocky Mountains. Stop for lunch in the alpine town of Revelstoke, before continuing through the untouched wilderness of Roger’s Pass. Stand on the shores of Lake Louise, surrounded by towering mountains, and take a quick stroll around the lake. Continue along the Bow Valley Parkway through the heart of Banff National Park. Spend an evening at leisure in this beautiful alpine resort.
DAY 4 – Banff
Join a morning sightseeing excursion through the highlights of Banff National Park. Visit the hoodoo rock formations shaped by centuries of wind and rain. Photograph Bow Falls and the Banff Springs Hotel. Look out over the aquamarine waters of Two Jack Lake, and visit Surprise Corner lookout point. Take a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain and see more mountains in a moment than most see in a lifetime. Continue to Lake Minnewanka for a scenic cruise to the Devil's Gap landmark where the mountains part for a view of the foothills and prairies. Spend the remainder of your day in Banff.
DAY 5 – Banff to Lake Louise
Explore the scenic wonders of Lake Louise and Yoho National Park with a full day sightseeing tour. Walk along the carved walls and gorges of Johnston Canyon, and visit the enchanting Moraine Lake. Continue over Kicking Horse Pass into the beautiful Yoho Valley. Look way up at the thundering waters of Takakkaw Falls, and visit the peacful setting of Emerald Lake. Spend an evening at lesiure in the village of Lake Louise.
DAY 6 – Lake Louise to Jasper
Join a full day sightseeing excursion north along the famous Icefield Parkway to Jasper. This parkway is surrounded by rugged peaks, fresh water lakes, and sparkling glaciers. View the iconic Crowfoot Glacier and the aquamarine waters of Bow Lake. Arrive at the Columbia Icefield and board an all-terrain Ice Explorer for the ride of a lifetime onto the ancient Athabasca Glacier. Next, visit the award-winning Glacier Skywalk and step out onto a glass viewing platform suspended 918 feet above the Sunwapta Valley. Enjoy an evening at leisure in Jasper.
DAY 7 – Jasper
Visit the landmark sights of Jasper National Park with a morning tour. Look down into the cavernous depths of Maligne Canyon, a testament to the power of water. Learn about the legend of the disappearing waters at Medicine Lake. Look out over Maligne Lake, surrounded by towering rugged peaks, and visit the beautiful Athabasca River Valley. Return to downtown Jasper and spend the remainder of your day exploring or relaxing on your own.
DAYS 8, 9 & 10 – VIA Rail to Toronto
All aboard the VIA Rail Canadian overnight train bound for Toronto. After departing the peaceful mountain town of Jasper, relax and enjoy picturesque scenery as you begin your eastbound journey across the Great Plains of Canada and beyond. Over the next two days, witness breathtaking landscapes as you pass through the western prairies and across the immense boreal forest reflected in the lakes of northern Ontario. A delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner are served onboard daily, with plenty of amenities and services onboard to compliment your train journey. Drift off each night in a sleeper car beneath a cozy down duvet.
DAY 11 – Toronto Arrival
Arrive in Toronto, Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. Walk amongst soaring glass and concrete towers, venture into the parks and gardens, and take a stroll along the lakefront boardwalk. Visit one of the many great museums and galleries or indulge in some shopping at the boutiques in Yorkville.
DAY 12 – Toronto & Niagara Falls
Depart for a full day sightseeing excursion to Niagara Falls. Travel through the orchard-laden Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls, one of the great wonders of the world. Enjoy an indulgent buffet lunch overlooking the spectacular falls. Highlight your day with a “Voyage to the Falls” boat tour to the base of majestic Horseshoe Falls. Experience the breathtaking views of River Road, winding your way along the scenic Niagara Gorge. After a stop at the Floral Clock and historical community of Niagara-on-the-Lake, enjoy an evening at leisure in Toronto.
DAY 13 – Toronto Departure
