This tour combines the best of the West Coast and the Canadian Rockies into a memorable eight-day experience. From scenic cities and expansive ocean, to rugged mountains and mighty glaciers, this is the tour of a lifetime!

Begin by exploring the seaside city of Seattle. Wave good-bye to the Seattle sunset and enjoy a delicious dinner, accompanied by the spectacular scenery onboard the luxurious Rocky Mountaineer train. Wind your way along the Pacific Coast to the modern metropolis of Vancouver.

Shop on Robson Street, visit the historic Gastown, stroll through Stanley Park, brave the Capilano Suspension Bridge and explore Granville Island during your time in Vancouver. Continue through the interior of British Columbia, enjoying the luxurious GoldLeaf Service aboard Rocky Mountaineer.

Witness the dramatic change in scenery as the train heads east into Banff National Park. Continue by luxury motor coach along the most scenic highway in the world, the Icefields Parkway. Photograph the spectacular views from a glass viewing platform at the Glacier Skywalk, and step out onto the Athabasca Glacier at the Columbia Icefield.

Immerse yourself in mountain life with a tour of the Banff townsite. Ascend Tunnel Mountain Drive to view Bow Falls and the Hoodoos, spot wildlife from the Banff Lake Cruise, and ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola. Travel through the frontal range of the Rockies and continue into the city of Calgary, your final destination.

DAY 1 – Arriving in Seattle

Transfer (not included) to your Seattle hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring. Wander through the Pike Place Market, marvel at the magnificent views from the Space Needle and take a stroll around Pioneer Square. Don’t miss Seattle’s funky, creative neighbourhood of Fremont, offering an array of quirky attractions and entertainment.

DAY 2 – -Rocky Mountaineer' from Seattle to Vancouver

The day is yours to explore Seattle, relax or enjoy a day of sightseeing. Transfer to the King Street Station to board the ‘Rocky Mountaineer’ bound for Vancouver. After departing, indulge in a delicious evening meal and witness the breathtaking view and the sunsets over Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands beyond. Sit back, relax and enjoy the exceptional service as you travel along the Pacific Coast toward your destination. Upon arrival at the Pacific Central Station, transfer (included) to your Vancouver hotel.

DAY 3 – Exploring Vancouver

Today, enjoy a sightseeing excursion of Vancouver, with highlights including a tour of the beautiful Stanley Park, English Bay, Queen Elizabeth Park, Chinatown and the historic Gastown. Spend time browsing Granville Island’s markets and shops, before visiting the world-famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, suspended 230 feet above the Capilano River. It is truly a unique and fun experience for all!

DAYS 4 & 5 – 'Rocky Mountaineer' to Kamloops and Banff

All aboard the 'Rocky Mountaineer' for a two-day rail adventure. Enjoy the picturesque views as the Rocky Mountaineer travels through the Pacific Coastal Mountains and Hell's Gate Canyon to Kamloops. After an overnight stay in Kamloops, it’s en route to Banff. Experience the spectacular Kicking Horse Pass landscape and the Spiral Tunnels as you wind your way through the majestic mountains of the Canadian Rockies. A delicious breakfast and lunch are served on board, to keep you satisfied until you arrive at your destination, Banff. Following a taxi transfer to your hotel, the remainder of the day is free for you to explore.

DAY 6 – Visiting the Columbia Icefield

Sit back and relax as a Brewster motor coach and experienced driver guide you along Canada’s most scenic mountain roadway; the Icefields Parkway. This route is home to over one hundred visible glaciers, turquoise lakes and rushing waterfalls. At the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre, enjoy a ride on one of our Ice Explorers (included) as it takes you on a tour of the icy slopes of the Athabasca Glacier. After a stop at the newly opened Glacier Skywalk, you will return to Banff for your overnight stay.

DAY 7 – Discovering Banff

Today, enjoy a sightseeing excursion with highlights including a visit to the Hoodoos, shaped by centuries of wind, and a scenic drive overlooking the Bow Falls. Enjoy a ride on the Banff Gondola (included) as you're lifted to the top of Sulphur Mountain and experience the incredible panoramic views of Banff and the surrounding mountains. The afternoon excursion will take you to Lake Minnewanka, the longest lake in the Canadian Rockies mountain parks, where you will enjoy the picturesque landscape during a scenic boat cruise (included). Your return to Banff will travel via the picturesque Two Jack Lake and majestic Cascade Mountain.

DAY 8 – Banff to Calgary

A morning, afternoon or evening departure from Banff travels outside of the Rockies and into the foothills of Calgary until you reach your destination at the Calgary International Airport or city centre.
